DOMO Omakase
a popular hidden gem finds a new home
Domo Omakase, located in Rose Hill, is a renowned sushi restaurant led by Chef Jiro, a culinary expert with over 35 years of experience, offering an intimate omakase dining experience.
WAKE provided full architectural design services, guiding the project from schematic design to construction. The goal was to create a space that felt warm and inviting, like a traditional Japanese home rather than a formal restaurant. This vision shaped every design decision, from material selection to spatial planning, ensuring a warm and immersive experience for guests.
Natural wood, soft ambient lighting, and a restrained color palette establish a serene and welcoming environment. The layout is thoughtfully considered to balance openness with intimacy, allowing diners to fully engage with the omakase experience while feeling at ease. Custom millwork, handcrafted finishes, and subtle textural contrasts further enhance the authenticity of the space, reinforcing a sense of craftsmanship and tradition.
By blending traditional Japanese architectural sensibilities with modern refinement, WAKE crafted a space that complements the artistry of the cuisine while fostering a deep connection between guests and their surroundings, creating a harmonious environment where design, hospitality, and culinary excellence come together seamlessly.
